Description
Cisco 100GBASE-QSFP Transceiver Module, QSFP-100G-SR4-S, New Original
When it comes to the fastest in modern networking, the Cisco 100 GBASE QSFP transceiver module is ahead of the game. It’s a short-range transceiver module that supports link lengths up to 1,000 meters. At such lengths, it can readily maintain transmission speeds of 100 Gbps.
It achieves such communication through multi-mode fiber that can connect via MTP or MPO. The transceiver operates on an 850 nm wavelength.
This is a high-density transceiver that is designed to use lower power. It’s the latest generation of the Cisco 100G transceiver modules, and it’s a mainstay in modern data centers and advanced networks.
Empowered Networking Solutions
The 100GBase QSFP module is designed to improve on networks at a fundamental level. Being hot-swappable, it simplifies network infrastructure and management.
Being efficient and affordable, it provides a scalable solution that can grow with (and even ahead of) your network.
Ultimately, this is a single component that can transform a network and bring it up to speed with modern specifications.
FAQ:
Q:How can I control the internal registers of the module?
A:Hello, you can read register information through the I2C bus.
Q:What is the difference in specification between QSFP28-100G-SR4 and QSFP28-100G-SR4-S?
A:The "-S" suffix in QSFP28-100G-SR4-S indicates that the transceiver does not support FCOE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet) functionality, meaning it cannot transport the Fibre Channel protocol over Ethernet.
Q:What is the difference of the suitable application scenarios between QSFP28-BIDI-100G and QSFP28-SR4-100G?
A:Hello, both the QSFP28-BIDI-100G and QSFP28-SR4-100G are suitable for short-distance data center transmission. The QSFP28-SR4-100G uses MTP 12-core/8-core Type B polarity cables (#69009) and supports distances of up to 100m. The QSFP28-BIDI-100G uses LC duplex cables (#40220) and supports distances of up to 150m. It offers cost savings in fiber infrastructure expenditures compared to 100G SR4.
Q:What is the Failure in Time, median lifespan of the QSFP28-SR4-100G ?
A:Hello, the FIT is 301, the annual failure rate is 0.263676%, and the median lifespan is 189 years. It should be noted that the median lifespan is only a statistical value, which provides a reference time for the normal operation of the transceiver.
Q:Can the 100G SR4 transceiver be downgraded to 1G after disabling CDR functionality?
A:Hello, CDR is enabled by default. It can be downgraded to a 1G rate after disabling it.
Q:I want to know MTBF value at 40°C/90% CL conditions for the QSFP28-SR4-100G.
A:Hello, the MTBF value is 3322259 hours.
