This Cisco CFP-100G-LR4 compatible CFP transceiver provides 100GBase-LR4 throughput up to 10km over single-mode fiber (SMF) at a wavelength of 1310nm using a LC connector. It is guaranteed to be 100% compatible with the equivalent Cisco transceiver. This easy to install, hot swappable transceiver has been programmed, uniquely serialized and data-traffic and application tested to ensure that it will initialize and perform identically. Digital optical monitoring (DOM) support is also present to allow access to real-time operating parameters. All of our transceivers are Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant.

The Cisco 100GBASE CFP modules offer customers 100 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity options for data center networking, enterprise core aggregation, and service provider transport applications. The Cisco 100GBASE-LR4 (Figure 1) CFP module supports a link length of 10 kilometers on standard single-mode fiber (SMF, G.652). 100 Gigabit Ethernet signal is carried over four wavelengths. Multiplexing and demultiplexing of the four wavelengths are managed within the device.

Product Description

CFP-100G-LR4 is Cisco Compatible 100GBASE-LR4 CFP (Centum Form Factor Pluggable) Transceiver, operating over pair of single-mode optical fiber with four independent optical communication lanes, separated from each other using LAN WDM technology, each with speed of 25.78Gbps (Ethernet application) or 27.95Gbps (OTU4 application). Module has minimum guaranteed optical budget of 6.3 dB, which in most cases is enough to reach 10 km distance using single-mode cable. However, distance is just indicative parameter calculated for comfort of identification. Eventually we calculate distance taking in account minimal optical budget and average attenuation of optical cabling in industry. Compatible CFP-100G-LR4 uses cooled 4×27.95Gb/s LAN WDM TOSA (1295.56, 1300.05, 1304.58, 1309.14nm) laser transmitters and 4×27.95Gb/s PIN ROSA receivers. Compatible CFP-100G-LR4 module converts 10 lane 11.18 Gbps electrical data streams into 4-lane LAN-WDM 27.95 Gbps optical output signal and 4-lane LAN-WDM 27.95 Gbps optical input signal into 10 lane 11.18 Gbps electrical data streams. Module support DDM/DOM optical diagnostics, which provide diagnostic information about the present operating conditions. Compatible CFP-100G-LR4 module requires Single 3.3V Power Supply and has less then 12W power consumption. Module operates in Standard 0°-70°C temperature range, and has double LC connectors.

Compatible CFP-100G-LR4 support up to 103.125-111.81 Gbps data rate and such applications as 100G Ethernet (103.125Gbps), Optical Transport Network OTU4 4I1-9D1F (111.81Gbps). Cisco Compatible CFP-100G-LR4 optical transceiver is multi-purpose module used in number of different places in today’s networking environment. Most popular applications are Internet Service Provider (ISP) Fiber to the Home Aggregation and Backbone, Mobile Operator Core Networks, Mobile Backhaul and Data Center networking site interconnections.

To ensure compatibility we have tested compatible CFP-100G-LR4 Transceiver in latest platforms of Cisco networking equipment, which allows us to encode transceiver EEPROM memory to be compatible and work seamlessly with Cisco platforms. Transceiver is fully compliant to CFP Multi Source Agreement (MSA)IEEE 802.3ba 100GBASE-LR4. Transceiver is CE/RoHS certified and is compliant with product safety standards.
