Cisco WS-C3650-48TS-E Switch Overview
WS-C3650-48TS-E belongs to the Cisco Catalyst 3650 Series Switches; Due to its enhanced features is best utilized in enterprise class businesses and can be used in multiple branch office networks or campus networks. Size of the business is usually medium size for this switch but it can be employed by small sized businesses as well. Cisco Catalyst WS-C3650-48TS-E is the next generation of enterprise-level standalone switch with stacking option for access-layer and distribution-layer design. WS-C3650-48TS-E integrates 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 4 fixed 1G SFP uplink ports in IP service feature set which enables advanced layer 3 routing performance with superior QoS capabilities. Cisco Catalyst 3650 series switches process both wired and wireless services on a single platform. Cisco StackWise-160 creates high scalability and resilient unified system with up to stack 9 switches to simplify the network management, and it also enables stateful switchover on stacking to provide redundancy. IP service feature set enables wireless controller functionality with supporting up to 25 wireless APs and 1000 wireless connections (AP licenses purchase separately). For stacking purpose, stack modules are required; in addition, IP service feature set can only stack with other 3650 series in IP service feature set, in order to stack with LAN/IP base feature set, IP service feature set need to configure in LAN/IP base feature set (Stack module purchase separately). Flexible Netflow monitors the network traffic flows to identify the threat of network.
