The OM4 multimode bend insensitive tight-buffered fiber optic cable has less attenuation when bent or twisted compared with traditional optical fiber cables and this will make the installation and maintenance of the fiber optic cables more efficient.
This OM4 multimode fiber optic cable is ideal for connecting 40G BIDI SR, 10G SR, QSFP+, SFP+ transceivers, etc. for 10/40/100G Ethernet connections and is the preferred fiber specification for 40/100G applications. It can also save more space for your high density cabling in data centers, enterprise networks, telecom room, server farms, cloud storage networks, and any places.
Completely Backwards-Compatible with standard 50 micron electronics!
OM4 fiber optic cable is completely backwards compatible with OM2 & OM3 fiber and shares the same distinctive aqua jacket. Multimode OM4 fiber was developed specifically for VSCEL laser transmission and allows 10 Gig / second link distances of up to 550 Meters (compared to 300M with OM3). The effective modal bandwidth for OM4 fiber is more than double that of OM3 (4700 MHz.km for OM4 v/s 2000 MHz.km for OM3).
LightWave OM4 fiber optic cables utilize j-BendAble OM4 multimode fibers, a bend-insensitive 850 nm laser-optimized 50μm Multimode fiber that is perfect for challenging installation situations in data centers where minimum bend loss is critical. All LightWave OM4 fiber cables are tested to meet the highest quality standards, and test results are included with each fiber optic network cable.
The LC to LC Multimode Duplex Fiber Optic Patch cable facilitates reliable connectivity across 40 and 100 Gigabit networks.
Engineered for Optimal Performance
With laser-optimized multimode fiber (LOMMF), the OM4 fiber patch cable is ideal for 850 nm and 1350 nm Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) and LED sources. Precision-manufactured ceramic ferrules ensure correct fiber alignment to prevent connectivity issues and minimize insertion loss. Designed for reliability in high-density network applications, the LC to LC UPC polished fiber ends greatly improves return loss characteristics over older PC polishing techniques which may negatively affect performance.
Wide Compatibility
This multimode 50/125µm fiber optic patch cord is backward compatible with OM3 and 1/10/40 Gbps networks, ensuring a reliable connection with legacy fiber environments.
Flame Resistant
Housed in a LSZH (Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen) flame-retardant jacket, this OM4 fiber cable emits low smoke and toxic fumes when exposed to high heat or in the event of a fire. It enables safer cable installations in areas with poor ventilation including some industrial settings, self-contained environments such as trains and aircraft, as well as residential settings where building codes are a consideration.
Each OM4 fiber cable is also individually tested and certified to be within acceptable optical insertion loss limits for guaranteed compatibility and 100% reliability.

FAQ:
Q:What is the continuous flexing of the fiber cables?
A:The number of continuous flexing is 100.
Q:Does the jumper have a serial number, and if so, can it be printed on the jumper or labeled?
A:The serial number is on the Wrap label, which will be affixed to the fiber cable.
Q:Can I order 1 box? How many cables in 1 box from SEESUO?
A:One box can contain 90 pieces of 1M duplex cable. If your order reaches this threshold, you will receive an integral box.
Q:Hi, I purchased OM3 and OM4 patch cables, can I Mix and Match OM3 and OM4 Fiber Cable?
A:For 40 GbE and 100 GbE links, OM3 and OM4 fiber have a subtle difference in transmission distance (OM3 for 100 m, OM4 for 150 m). If you need longer transmission distance, OM4 multimode fiber is an ideal option.
Q:If we include the jacket and strength member for a 300m fiber cable, the size would be quite large. So can we have some jumpers without jacket?
A:Maybe you need bare fiber with connectors at both ends, this special structure can be customized. By the way, the thinnest cable I have used is 0.9mm wire diameter, you could ask your engineer if this jumper meets the wiring requirements.
Q:Can these be run on the outside of the house?
A:You'd better not. This cable is for indoor use only. If you need to use outdoor, you could check the Industrial Grade Fiber Cables.
Q:Can you provide Mini-LC to LC Duplex patch cable? I need Mini-LC connectors if you have it.
A:Try the CS connector, I think the CS works just as well as the short boot LC, both smaller than the regular LC. Hope this will give you a reference.
Q:I need water-proof outdoor cable with 6 or 8 fibers, can you provide that?
A:For water-proof cable, maybe you should go with Industrial cable, you can find it in that category.
Outdoor Fiber Patch Cords extra jacketing provides durability and longevity when compared to a standard patch cord. The included pulling sheath make them easy to run through race-ways or conduit. They are rated for both indoor and outdoor use. If you don’t see the cable options you need be sure to contact us!
