These fiber pigtails are short lengths of cable structures with a Multi-Mode 900μ diameter semi-tight or tight coating on the fiber, with one end terminated with a fiber connector and the other end free to splice to another fiber. Fiber types are generally Single-Mode 9/125μ, Multi-mode 50/125μ or Multi-mode 62,5/125μ. Standard connector types used in pigtails are SC, LC, LSH, FC or ST.

Since 2006, SAMM has been the manufacturer and provider of high-quality and reliable fiber optic cable assemblies. Due to our fully equipped production facilities, laboratories and long-term expertise in fiber optics, we are able to produce a first class fiber optic assemblies portfolio that ensure the highest level reliability. Therefore, one of the main priority is the ongoing expansion and advancement of the manufacturing capabilities.

Features:

Fiber pigtails MM are widely used in telecommunications, SCS, data centers, for industrial, medical equipment.

  • Outer shell made of durable flexible material – fire–resistant or low-smoke (LSZH)

  • Up to 1000 connection cycles.

  • The standard length is 1.5 m.

  • Polishing – UPC or APC.

  • Low insertion loss – up to 0.3 dB.

Polishing UPC (convex) reduces attenuation (glass-air transition). APC polishing is performed at an angle of 8 degrees, which eliminates the direction of reflected light into the fiber and has a reflection loss of over 70 dB.

Available for various connectors: SC, LC, FC, ST etc. PC, UPC polishing are available in Zirconia ceramic ferrule. Fiber optical pigtails are jacketed with Kevlar sheath member, aramid yarns and flame-retardant PVC material. Multimode fiber OM1 62.5/125, OM2 50/125, OM3 50/125 and OM4 50/125 fibers with1, 4,6,8,12 up to 96 cores. LSZH, OFNR, OFNP Plenum outer jackets of fiber optic cables are optional . Single core Multicores general pigtails, bundle pigtails, ribbon pigtails, armored pigtails. 3D interference PASS

PRODUCT PROBLEM
  • How does the core diameter of a Multimode 1 Core Pigtail affect performance?
The core diameter of a Multimode 1 Core Pigtail typically ranges from 50 to 62.5 microns. A larger core allows multiple light modes to travel simultaneously, enhancing bandwidth capacity. However, it may also increase modal dispersion, making it less suitable for long-distance applications compared to single-mode fibers.
  • What are the primary applications for a Multimode 1 Core Pigtail?
A Multimode 1 Core Pigtail is commonly used for short-distance connections in local area networks (LANs), data centers, and telecommunications. Its design supports high-speed data transmission and is ideal for applications requiring quick, reliable connections between network devices.
  • What factors should be considered when choosing a Multimode 1 Core Pigtail?
When selecting a Multimode 1 Core Pigtail, consider the connector type, core diameter, and compatibility with existing network equipment. Additionally, assess environmental factors such as temperature and humidity, as these can impact performance and durability, ensuring that the pigtail meets specific application requirements.
