Nowadays, 40G Ethernet is the preferred backbone uplink technology, is very popular in the data center. Direct connectivity between 40G network equipment

For the connection between 40GbE to 40GbE, that is the interconnection between two QSFP + ports, users can choose different optical cable, cable and optical module based on different transmission distance.

Distance reaches 7 meters: 40G QSFP+ to QSFP+ DAC

Distance reaches 100 meters: 40G QSFP+ to QSFP+ AOC or 40GBASE-SR4 QSFP+ optical module matches multi-mode fiber with MTP / MPO connector.

Distance reaches 300 meters: 40GBASE-CSR4 QSFP + optical module matches multi-mode fiber with MTP / MPO connector.
