The QSFP+ module is designed for use in 40GBASE Ethernet throughput up to 400m over multimode fiber (MMF) using a wavelength of 850nm via a MTP/MPO-12 connector. This transceiver is compliant with QSFP+ MSA, IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4 and IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR standard. Digital diagnostics functions are also available via the I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP+ MSA, to allow access to real-time operating parameters. With these features, this easy to install, hot swappable transceiver is suitable to be used in various applications, such as data centers, high-performance computing networks, enterprise core, distribution layers.
Generic Compatible 40GBASE-eSR4 MMF 850nm 300m/400m QSFP+ Optical Transceiver
Optcore’s QSFP-40G-eSR4 is designed for use in 40 Gigabit Ethernet (40GE) applications over multi-mode fiber. It complies with QSFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4 specifications. The QSFP+ eSR4 transceiver integrates four data lanes in each direction with each lane to giving an aggregated 40 Gbps bandwidth. Each lane supports link lengths of 300m on OM3 multi-mode fiber or 400m on OM4 multi-mode fiber. The optical transmitter incorporates a 4-channel 850nm VCSEL laser, a 4-channel input buffer and laser driver, control and bias blocks. The optical receiver incorporates a 4-channel PIN photodiode, a 4-channel TIA array, a 4 channel output buffer, control blocks.
40G-QSFP-eSR4-FL is a Brocade-Foundry® compatible 40GBase QSFP+ Optical Transceiver and is factory pre-programmed with all the necessary configuration data for seamless network integration. Our transceivers perform identically to Brocade-Foundry® original transceivers and are 100% compatible with other OEM and third party transceivers. The 40G-QSFP-eSR4-FL is 100% MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) compliant. All transceivers are tested for 100% functionality and guaranteed compatible for outstanding network performance.
