About Active Optical Cable
Active optical cables (AOC) are cables with optoelectronic modules in the connector heads that convert electrical signals to light. Unlike passive copper cables, which send electronic signals directly down the internal copper wire, AOC involve additional signal conversions. In an active optical cable, electrical input is converted to photons via the combination of a specialized chipset or driver and laser(s). Photons are received at the other end of the cable and converted back to electrical impulses. Active optical cable (AOC) can be defined as an optical fiber jumper cable terminated with optical transceivers on both ends. It uses electrical-to-optical conversion on the cable ends to improve speed and distance performance of the cable without sacrificing compatibility with standard electrical interfaces.
As data rates rise and data center clusters grow in size, copper cable technology is getting stretched to its limits. Active optical cable (AOC) assemblies were invented to replace copper technology in data centers, high performance computing (HPC) and A/V applications in virtue of its stability and flexibility. In the era of the optical network, AOC cable captures a major chunk of high-speed optical inter-connectivity market on a global level. ActiveOpticalCable.com provides the most technically capable optical solutions available in plug-and-play active optical cables (AOCs).
AOC Active Optical cables offer a flexible way to connect within racks and across adjacent racks. AOCs support farther inter-rack distances. AOCs are much thinner and lighter than DACs, which makes cabling easier. Active optical c
ables enable efficient system airflow, which is critical in high-density racks.SOPTO offers a wide range of products for 1m to 100m reaches, in CXP, QSFP28, QSFP, SFP28, SFP+ form factors and data rates of 10G~120G.
Active Optical Cable (AOC) meets the needs of higher speed, greater scalability, better performance and higher reliability in data centers, storage network, and high performance computing applications. Fiberonsale supplies various kinds of high speed interconnect AOC cable assemblies including 10G SFP+ AOC Cables, 40G QSFP+ AOC Cables, and 10G XFP AOC Cables. All of these active optical cables can meet the ever growing need to cost-effectively deliver more bandwidth, and they can be customized in different length to meet customers' requirements.

SEESUO provides a variety of active optical cables (AOCs) for your most challenging and demanding applications. We offer optical cables in SFP+, SFP28, QSFP+, breakout QSFP+, QSFP28, and breakout QSFP28 configurations. Our AOCs are a type of fiber optic cable with electrical-to-optical (E/O) and optical-to-electrical (O/E) converters on each end. These fiber optic AOC cables offer speeds of 10 to 100 Gbps and allow AOCs to transmit data faster than possible with traditional copper connections while still adhering to industry-standard electrical interfaces. Make your purchase now to benefit from same-business-day shipping.
Our active optical fiber optic cables' increased bandwidth and electrical hot-pluggable make them ideal for applications that call for high-speed data transfer. Active optical cables offer longer link lengths than direct-attach cables and have a lower total cost and power consumption than transceiver-based choices. These AOC cables from SEESUO are electrically compliant with SFF-8431 and mechanically compliant with SFF-8432.
Data centers, high-performance computing (HPC), storage networks, video surveillance, and industrial automation are some of the applications. Our AOC cables suffer less signal loss than copper cables, which can improve the overall performance of a network and cause less EMI/RFI interference. For use in enterprise networking, 25G Ethernet aggregation, inter-rack linkages, 100G Ethernet, and intra-rack links, SEESUO 's active optical cables are available.
SEESUO is a well-known provider of high-quality active optical cables, and we are accessible by phone, chat, and email. We are a global leader in wired and wireless connectivity products, providing solutions for many major industries, including electronics, medical, industrial automation, military, and telecommunications. We are an AOC manufacturer can be the optimal choice for your future projects because of the low or no minimum order quantities and fast response times. Please contact our knowledgeable technical support and sales teams if you have questions about our AOC cables or other components. Order now for same business day shipping!

• Enables deployment of additional ports for increased number of AOCs per system, resulting in more connectivity options and total system cost savings.
AOCs are permanently attached to the fiber, with no air gaps:
Interface provides protection from environmental contaminants and other user disturbances during installation.
Advantages of Active Optical Cable(AOC)
Traditional data center interconnection is mainly based on coaxial cables. AOC active optical cables have many significant advantages over interconnected copper cables. For example, the transmission power on the system link is lower, the weight is only a quarter of the directly connected copper cable, the volume is about half that of the copper cable, and it has better air flow and heat dissipation in the wiring system of the computer room. The fold radius is smaller than that of copper cables, and the transmission distance is longer (100 to 300 meters). The bit error rate of the product transmission performance is also better. Compared with the optical transceiver module, the AOC active optical cable has no exposed optical interface, does not need to consider the problems of pollution on the optical interface. Thus, it greatly improves system stability and reliability, and reduces maintenance costs in the equipment room.
