SEESUO 40G QSFP+ DAC cable, passive is a fast and inexpensive solutionfor easy connection of two network active switch / router elements at 40Gbps without the need to purchase separate modules and other accessories (such as optical patch cables).
The high-quality twinax DAC cable comes with universal Cisco compatibility, which guarantees trouble-free use with most active element manufacturers. The DAC interface cable plugs directly into the QSFP+ slot on the device, creating a connection speed of up to 40Gbps. The connection using a DAC in the device also appears as a connection with classic QSFP+ modules. Length 1m , passive technology.
The 40G QSFP+ Passive Direct Attach Copper Twinax Cable is designed for use in 40GBASE Ethernet. It provides a QSFP+ to QSFP+ copper direct-attach solution. This cable is compliant with IEEE 802.3ba Ethernet standard and QSFP MSA Compliant.
With these features, this easy to install, high speed, cost-effective direct attach copper twinax cable is suitable for short-distance connectivity within a rack or between adjacent racks in data centers.
This is a high-quality Generic Compatible 40G QSFP+ Passive DAC (Direct Attach Cable) Copper. It is a cost-effective solution that provides high bandwidth and transmission rates over short distances. QSFP+ (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus) Cable Assemblies are suitable for very short distances and offer a highly cost-effective way to establish a 40-Gigabit link between QSFP+ ports of QSFP+ switches within racks and across adjacent racks. QSFP+ cables are used for 40 GbE and Infiniband standards. Each DAC cable is 100% optically inspected and tested for compatibility before shipping.
A direct attach cable, short for DAC cable, is a type of factory terminated twinax cable that connects directly into transceivers and can be brought in several lengths for short distances of up to 15 meters. These cables consist of fixed lengths of shielded copper coaxial or fiber optic cable with single pluggable transceivers at either end, that have varying gauge values between 24AWG and 30AWG. The DAC cable may be capable of interconnection up to 15 meters using a twinaxial copper cable and reaches 100 meters over an active optical cable at 10Gbps, 40Gbps or higher.
DAC Cables can be either passive or active. The passive direct attach cable has no electrical components, which results in less power consumption. Active direct attach cables are composed of electrical components, so they use more power, but gain more distance and increase signal strength. Active cables are more expensive and consume more power when in use compared to passive cables.

FAQ:
Q:Can this cable be used in the stack port of Cisco Meraki series device to achieve the switch stacking?
A:No, it can’t be used in the stack port of your device. FS DAC & AOC can only be used in the business port of the switch to achieve virtual stacking, but can not be used in the stack port to achieve physical stacking. The stacking through the stack port of device belongs to physical stacking which needs a specific stacking cable, and it is under development for now.
